The music by Handel is some of the most exuberant I have ever chosen – I still believe profoundly in the life-enhancing joy of dance and this piece is clear evidence of the power of what I continue to love above all things. In the video this piece of music is heard twice, firstly as part of an organ concerto and then a concerto grosso for string orchestra. Freed of Organ interruptions the music flies and so do the steps, the same ones repeated.

First performed by the Richard Alston Dance Company on 15 February 2000.
