Video Excerpt

Filmed and edited by Steve Jackman at Sadler's Wells.

Produced by The Place.

Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols has a wonderful directness. The music has for me quite deep roots of feeling because we sang Britten in the choir at my school Eton. Boys' voices can have a lot of power, that incredible purity you get.

The video is of the racing urgent Deo Gracias. Students from The London Contemporary Dance School augmented the full Company which was exciting to deal with.

First performed 8 February 2012 at The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury.
